W. E. Roth gave necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of solution(s) of certain types of linear matrix equations. Proofs were based on invariant factors and were long and complicated. Other shorter but non-constructive proofs have since been provided by later authors. Based on QCD sum rules we explore the consequences of a scenario for the ρ meson, where the chiral symmetry breaking condensates are set to zero whereas the chirally symmetric condensates remain at their vacuum values. This clean-cut scenario causes a lowering of the ρ spectral moment by about 120 MeV. The complementarity of mass shift and broadening is discussed. A simple parametrization of the ρ spectral function leads to a width of about 280 MeV if no shift of the peak position is assumed.  相似文献

This paper continues to study the asymptotic behavior of Gerber-Shiu expected discounted penalty functions in the renewal risk model as the initial capital becomes large. Under the assumption that the claim-size distribution is exponential, we establish an explicit asymptotic formula. This paper is concerned with the exponential stability analysis for a class of cellular neural networks with both interval time-varying delays and general activation functions. The boundedness assumption of the activation function is not required. The limitation on the derivative of time delay being less than one is relaxed and the lower bound of time-varying delay is not restricted to be zero. A new Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional involving more information on the state variables is established to derive a novel exponential stability criterion. The obtained condition shows potential advantages over the existing ones since no useful item is ignored throughout the estimate of upper bound of the derivative of Lyapunov functional. Finally, three numerical examples are included to illustrate the proposed design procedures and applications.  相似文献

This paper presents an improved exponential transformation for nearly singular boundary element integrals in elasticity problems. The new transformation is less sensitive to the position of the projection point compared with the original transformation. In our work, the conventional distance function is modified into a new form in the polar coordinate system. Based on the refined distance function, an improved exponential transformation is proposed in the polar coordinate system. Moreover, to perform integrations on irregular elements, an adaptive integration scheme considering both the element shape and the projection point associated with the improved transformation is proposed. Furthermore, when the projection point is located outside the integration element, another nearest point is introduced to subdivide the integration elements into triangular or quadrilateral patches of fine shapes. Numerical examples are presented to verify the proposed method. Results demonstrate the accuracy and efficiency of our method.  相似文献

Sliced Latin hypercube designs are very useful for running a computer model in batches, ensembles of multiple computer models, computer experiments with qualitative and quantitative factors, cross-validation and data pooling. However, the presence of highly correlated columns makes the data analysis intractable. In this paper, a construction method for sliced (nearly) orthogonal Latin hypercube designs is developed. The resulting designs have flexible sizes and most are new. With the orthogonality or near orthogonality being guaranteed, the space-filling property of the resulting designs is also improved. Examples are provided for illustrating the proposed method.  相似文献

Abstract

Attention is focussed here on a variety of cylindrically symmetric inhomogeneous electron liquids. These include separable potentials in which a general variation along the (z) axis of cylindrical symmetry is combined with isotropic harmonic confinement in the (x, y) plane. in this case, an explicit differential equation is derived for the Slater sum along the z axis by projecting out of the (off-diagonal) canonical density matrix the states with zero angular momentum about the axis of symmetry. Some attention is then given to the calculation of the Slater sum for a hydrogen-like atom in a uniform electric field of arbitrary strength. the model of a separable potential with harmonic confinement, though no longer exact, is shown to lead directly to a (now approximate) equation for the Slater sum along the z axis for the Stark effect in hydrogen. Finally some further progress is shown to be possible in the extreme high field limit.  相似文献

Nucleic acid aptamers, the molecular recognition components derived from systematic evolution of ligands by exponential enrichment(SELEX), can specifically identify proteins with antibody-like recognition characteristics and help to regulate their activity. This minireview covers the SELEX-based selection of protein-binding aptamers, membrane protein analytical techniques based on aptamer-mediated target recognition, aptamer-mediated functional regulation of proteins, including membrane receptors and non-membrane proteins(thrombin as a model), as well as the potential challenges and prospects regarding aptamer-mediated protein manipulation, aiming to supply some useful information for researchers in this field.  相似文献
